From the very beginning, everything about RUMPUS - its concept, modelling, philosophy and brand - has been created by and for Adelaide’s community of professional independent theatre companies and theatre makers, via community meetings, votes and online discussions.

In 2020, RUMPUS moved to a fully-fledged membership-driven collective model with sub-committees working to create and facilitate all things theatre at RUMPUS. Community remains at the core of everything RUMPUS strives to do, and it’s a community that keeps growing every day.
